Lucas Bornico

Lucas Bornico is the co-founder of Golden Properties, where his legal expertise and international experience have been instrumental in establishing the agency as a leader in luxury real estate on the Costa del Sol. Together with Lisa Da Correggio, Lucas leads a team of dedicated agents, ensuring that clients receive exceptional advice tailored to their objectives, grounded in a solid understanding of the local market and legal landscape.

Before co-founding Golden Properties, Lucas studied at the University of Toronto in Canada and earned his law degree from the University of Trento in Italy. He continued his legal education at the University of Law in London, where he qualified as a solicitor and joined a prestigious “magic circle” law firm. His work focused on international contracts across shipbuilding, offshore energy and infrastructure. Lucas later returned to Spain—where he had spent time between studies and where part of his extended family resides—to launch a boutique law firm dedicated to advising international property buyers and investors. He is also a qualified Spanish lawyer (Abogado).

At Golden Properties, Lucas is responsible for managing the sales and marketing teams and for ensuring that the agency’s property portfolio includes only top-quality listings. He provides regular training and support to the company’s property advisors and is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism across all client interactions. In addition to overseeing operations, Lucas offers strategic guidance to investors, buyers and property owners—not only in relation to real estate but also with regard to any matters they may require support with.

Lucas’s family roots trace back to the Italian Alps in the region of Trentino-Südtirol, with ancestors who emigrated to cities such as Buenos Aires and New York. He holds citizenships from Argentina, Canada and Italy, and is fluent in Spanish, English, Italian and Portuguese, with conversational knowledge of French and German.

Outside of work, Lucas enjoys time with his family exploring the Costa del Sol—relaxing on the beach, hiking through the surrounding mountains or having lunch by the sea at his favourite chiringuito.
