Within walking distance of the marina, we find the Plaza Antonio Banderas, with an underground parking area and various restaurants; as well as the El Corte Ingles shopping centre, which houses top luxury brands across all its departments and consistently ranks as the most profitable location in Spain during the summer months. Puerto Banus also has a wonderful sandy beach with a pedestrian path that goes all the way to central Marbella, as well as high-end beach clubs and resorts.

In terms of specific zones, in the east we find several beachfront, gated developments such as Playa Rocio and Los Granados. These are ideal as a first residence within walking distance to all amenities, or as investment properties due to the excellent rental potential. In the west there are several major residential developments, such as Playas del Duque, Las Gaviotas, Medina Gardens and El Embrujo. Here we also find the renowned Ocean Club and the Guadalpin Banus. In recent years, there have been several ongoing developments of luxury villas in the areas of Lorea Playa and Cortijo Blanco, which have attracted high-end luxury buyers, primarily from overseas.
