The main visas available to overseas buyers are as follows:
Golden Visa: This applies to non-EU citizens who purchase properties above €500,000. Investors can secure a residency permit for themselves and dependent family members, which allows travel within the whole Schengen area, which consists of the whole EU (with the exception of UK and Ireland) and other non-EU countries, such as Switzerland and Norway.
Buyers should be advised that not all properties qualify for the golden visa scheme (for example, it is more complicated for off plan projects), so at Golden Properties we will only recommend qualifying properties and investment options.
Investor Visa: This applies to persons from non-EU countries who want set up a business in Spain. Applicants need to provide a suitable business plan, secure a private medical cover and meet various legal requirements.
Non-Investor Visa: This applies to persons from non-EU countries who want to live or retire in Spain. Applicants need to provide proof of income (including pensions) and secure private medical cover.
